We’re excited to introduce Voice Check-In to DotDr, making it easier than ever to log your activities and learning outcomes. With this new feature, simply speak what you’ve completed, and our the DotDr AI Model will capture it—no need to type!
This update streamlines digital logbook submissions and ensures accurate tracking of your course progression.
How It Works
Recording an Activity Type or Learning Outcome
- Activity Types: These include sessions, tutorials, ward rounds, and more. A full list is available within the app.
- Learning Outcomes: These depend on the rotation/course selected. If a department has not been assigned to a rotation, a generic prompt will be provided.
Click/Touch 'Record'
- Once you have selected Activity Type of Learning Outcome
- Hit the record button and say the name of the activity or learning outcome you covered.
- Speak clearly and state only the outcome name (e.g., “Plaster of Paris”).
- Avoid adding personal details, multiple outcomes, or unnecessary words.

Customising Learning Outcomes (For Admins & Coordinators)
If a generic prompt appears when selecting a learning outcome, your rotation coordinator needs to update it.
They can do this by:
- Logging into DotDr, with approved administration rights
- Clicking the Dashboard icon.
- Selecting Rotations and editing the dialogues for learning outcomes.

This ensures that the AI voice model listens for the correct prompts, reducing manual data entry.
Tracking Your Submissions
Once recorded:
- Hit Submit and your submission will automatically feed into your Results page.
- These records act as your Digital Logbook and contribute to your attendance percentage attainment for your course or rotation.
- We recommend reviewing your results weekly or at the end of each rotation to ensure accuracy.
