Since 2017, a pioneering digital logbook solution has been at the forefront of revolutionizing medical education. Addressing the challenges posed by paper-based processes and fragmented departmental systems, this innovative solution is transforming medical learning across institutions.
With the growing demand for standardized assessment frameworks such as Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) and Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA), the need for a secure, efficient, and robust data management system has never been more pressing. While numerous solutions have surfaced in recent years, many have fallen short, compromising data security and adding to the administrative burden.
Introducing DotDr, an AI-driven voice model set to revolutionize medical education.
Launched as a pilot project in 2023, DotDr surpassed expectations, with over 8,000 attendance submissions across various rotations in its target audience. The success of DotDr highlights the transformative role of artificial intelligence and voice technology in shaping the future of medical education.
"After years of refining and testing, we are thrilled to debunk myths that have persisted in medical education for over a century," said Wits University's academic Head "DotDr represents a paradigm shift from traditional paper-based logs to technology, changing the way medical education is conducted."
To extend the benefits of DotDr to a broader audience, the collaboration with esteemed partners on the WBA Steering Committee platform is announced. The following universities are now part of the DotDr model, available today:
